Harvest Thanksgiving Service at Kilteevogue

On Friday 13th October , we had the first of our harvest thanksgivings services in our group of three churches at Kilteevogue. Our guest speaker was Canon Rev William Long, who shared with us that it was his first time preaching in St John’s Kilteevogue.

Rev. Adam Pullen and Canon Rev. William Long

Canon Rev. William  thanked the many people involved in the decorating the church, providing flowers and vegetables to remind us of God’s good gifts to us.  Unlike the speaker he alluded to his sermon, he did not speak for too long and ended with  a poignant and personal story to remind that to trust in the Lord is enough.

I would like to echo Canon Rev. William’s praise of the work done in preparing the church for this service, for all who participated in the service in any way and of course all who worked in providing teas and goodies after the service in the Donaldson hall.
