Read: Luke 24:36b-48
Jesus had appeared to two people on the Road to Emmaus. Once they had figured out who Jesus was they ran to tell the others about him being alive. The disciples were together and were talking about what had happened when Jesus appeared in the room with them. ‘May you have peace!’ He told them. He showed them his hands and feet but the disciples still were not sure. Jesus asked for something to eat – he ate a piece of fish in front of them. Jesus then spent a lot of time talking to them and explaing scriptures to them. He explained how his life, death and resurrection were all in the scriptures and all part of God’s plan. ‘You have seen these things with your own eyes!’
Over the next few weeks Jesus appeared to the disciples a number of times explaining things to them.
Watch:
How would you feel if you were in the room? How did Jesus prove who he was? What did Jesus sayto the disciples? What did Jesus eat?

Pray: God thank you that Jesus met with his disciples so we can learn from his teachings as well. Amen.
Father in heaven watch over our loved ones.
Keep them by your side.
May they be safe and peaceful, in you may they abide.
Give wisdom to the doctors and nurses too we pray,
renew their strength and bless them for the work they do each day. Send healing and restoration and let them feel your love.
May your Holy Spirit give them rest as gentle as a dove. Amen (taken from Praying Together)
Share: When Jesus met with his disciples he ate some fish with them. Have a snack with someone this week.
