Let’s do Lent Bible Buddy

This year during Lent Kirsty would like to encourage families to spend time reading the Bible. To do this the Diocesan Children Ministry (SEEDS) team are offering the Bible Buddy Adoption Scheme. Each family who registers will receive a Bible Buddy (which is a small soft toy) who they must look after. Bible Buddies enjoy listening to you, going on adventures with you but most importantly reading the Bible with you. Each Bible Buddy comes with an adoption certificate, care information sheet and a reading pack which has suggested readings and space for you to write or draw reflections on what you have read. If a Bible is needed for the house, this will be provided.

At the end of the 6 weeks each family will receive a certificate of completion, a treat and further suggested reading plans. This will be interactive and there will be videos posted on Facebook. We also want to see photographs of where you and your Bible Buddy are reading together – the more unusual the better. This is not to be a burden to families so there is no set time to read – just read as and when you can.
