Read: Luke 23:33-43

This Sunday in Church is called the Kingship of Christ. On this day we celebrate that Jesus was the King of Kings.

He was different to other kings because he knows us and cares for us. Jesus is the King of everything – we should be putting him first and follow him throughout all our lives.

In our reading Jesus is on the cross and being mocked by everyone around him – there is a sign above his cross which reads ‘This is the King of the Jews.’ When they put this sign up, they thought they were being smart – making fun of Jesus as King – but we know he truly is the King of Kings.

Jesus is the King of Kings – what makes him so special? What makes him different from other Kings?

How can we show others we are part of God’s Kingdom?

Can you do the actions to King of Me by Rend Co. Kids?

Pray: Dear God, you are King! Amen.

Father in heaven watch over our loved ones.
Keep them by your side.
May they be safe and peaceful, in you may they abide.
Give wisdom to the doctors and nurses too we pray,
renew their strength and bless them for the work they do each day. Send healing and restoration and let them feel your love.
May your Holy Spirit give them rest as gentle as a dove. Amen (Taken from Praying Together)
