Read: Read John 3:1-17

Nicodemus was a pharisee and he came to Jesus one night to talk to him about what it means to be a follower of Christ. Jesus explained to Nicodemus that to be a follower of Jesus you have to truly believe in him. Today is Trinity Sunday and we use today to remind us that God is not only God but God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God is three in one. It is not three Gods but one God with three different aspects. It is very confusing! St. Patrick is said to have used a shamrock to explain the trinity – there are three leaves, just like there are three parts of the trinity, but they all come from the one stem. They are all God. It is important to remember God as three

persons because as God the Father he made everything, as God the Son he saved us and as God the Holy Spirit he lives in us today.

Pray: Lord God, thank you that you are a Trinity – that the three persons of the Trinity tell us different things about you. Help us to live everyday knowing that you are a Father who loves us, a Saviour who cares for us and Spirit who looks after us. Amen (Taken from Family Time)

Father in heaven watch over our loved ones.
Keep them by your side.
May they be safe and peaceful, in you may they abide.
Give wisdom to the doctors and nurses too we pray,
renew their strength and bless them for the work they do each day. Send healing and restoration and let them feel your love.
May your Holy Spirit give them rest as gentle as a dove. Amen (taken from Praying Together)
